Erin Maxson co-anchors Newswatch 12 This Morning with Ron Brown. Erin was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota but later moved to a small town in Iowa. While in high school there, she fell in love with journalism.

As a proud Panther at the University of Northern Iowa, Erin received her Degree in Electronic Media. Along the way she joined the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and served as their chapter president. College also provided Erin with a chance to work with Mark Stines at Entertainment Tonight in Los Angeles after graduation.

After a short run as assistant editor for a small town newspaper in Iowa, Erin landed her first T.V. job at KIMT News 3. There she served the people of North Iowa and Southern Minnesota as weekend anchor and weekday reporter for two years. A special piece on taser guns won Erin an Eric Sevareid Award.

In March of 2009, Erin drove the three day trek to Oregon. Although the vast golden corn fields are gone, Erin is excited about the mountain scapes that surround the area. If you have a story you'd like Erin to cover or just want to say hi, send her an email, she'd love to hear from the people of Southern Oregon and Northern California.
