Kirk Flatter

Kirk Flatter joined the Newswatch 12 team in August. He spent the last five years in Arizona where he got his bachelors degree in broadcast journalism at Arizona State. He gained experience in all facets of journalism while attending the Walter Cronkite School. Kirk gained broadcast news experience while a member of the student run newscast. He also spent time interning with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

 

In October of 2009, Kirk joined the NewsWatch 12 Sports Department as the Weekend Sports Anchor. During the week, you can see Kirk's work in his "Amatuer Athelete of the Week" segment.

 

Kirk is originally from Muncie, Indiana where he was born and raised. Being a Hoosier, he's a big basketball fan. He also likes to go biking or just relax listening to music.
