OAKRIDGE, Ore. -- Authorities have identified four people who died in a traffic accident on Highway 58 east of Oakridge.

The Oregon State Police says an eastbound Chevrolet Geo Tracker SUV driven by 59-year-old Leroy Millard West of Springfield veered off the roadway Monday and rolled into a large cedar tree.

West died at the scene along with his wife, 62-year-old Lanetta Kay West. Also killed were 43-year-old Paula Di-Anne Clary Smith of Albany and her husband, 51-year-old William Ray Freeman.

Police say Clary Smith was the daughter of Lanetta Kay West, and the two couples were reportedly on a trip to Reno, Nev.

Investigators say there was some ice on the road, but it's unknown if it contributed to the crash.
