PORTLAND, Ore. -- Blood on a gun and part of a jaw bone are among the evidence prosecutors are offering in their case against a Corbett woman accused of killing and dismembering her husband then burning and hiding his corpse.
At a hearing Friday in Multnomah County Circuit Court, prosecutors said that blood splatter on a gun indicated 56-year-old Hazelynn Stomps shot her 60-year-old husband, Gerald.
They said pieces of jaw and teeth that matched his dental records were found on the property.
Hazelynn Stomps pleaded not guilty on Feb. 17 to murder and other charges.
Gerald Stomps was last seen Feb. 6, the day his wife told police her husband had been beaten by two men who chased her until she fell off a bridge near Oxbow Park.
