SHADY COVE, Ore. - Shady Cove residents are electing a new water district board of directors, and all the winners ran on a campaign promise to shut down and dissolve the water district.

There are five seats being elected Tuesday, and all five candidates are winning with over 80 percent of the vote.

Ever since it's formation in 2005, the Shady Cove Water District has struggled to get off the ground.

Three years ago, district residents voted by more than 3 to 1 to shut down the district rather than face paying assessments, but it was overturned by a judge.

Shady Cove is the largest city in Oregon without a water system.

Here are the unofficial election results as of Tuesday night.

Eugene Reitz 85.85%
