Man accused of arson in K. Falls bank fire

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - A man accused of setting fire to a Klamath Falls bank is in jail.
 
Klamath County Sheriff Tim Evinger says John Reinas started a warming fire in the shrubbery at Chase Bank on 6th Street. Around 11 p.m. Sunday night, people reported seeing smoke coming from the bushes.
 
The fire got out of control, destroyed some landscaping, and damaged part of the building. The damage is estimated at $3,000.
 
Reinas is at the Klamath County Jail on charges of reckless burning, second degree arson, and first degree criminal mischief.
