ASHLAND, Ore. -At the Shell Station, off Interstate 5 at Exit 14, vintage, glass bottled, sugercane soda is quenching the thirst of both locals and travelers.

At $1.79 each, more than 100 varieties sell at the same price as their plastic counterparts.

Gary says it's a mix of taste and nostalgia that keeps these drinks selling in droves.

"It's really neat to see people's reaction. They come in and say, 'I haven't seen this since I was a kid'. They buy it for parties, for car shows, and all kind of things," Salesman Gary Mallicoat said.

Though the look may be retro, the actual soda isn't. Most of the flavors are original recipes, bottled across the U.S. by independent distributors.
