WOLF CREEK, Ore. - Josephine County sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a 20-year-old Caitlyn C. Strauser, found dead last week.

The only named person of interest in the case is 24-year-old Joey O'Dell, who is currently in jail for and outstanding drug warrant.

Investigators say O'Dell's attorney has told him not too cooperate in the Strauser investigation.

Sheriff Gil Gilbertson says O'Dell dropped off his unconscious girlfriend at a home on Lower Grave Creek Road and left before emergency crews arrived.

Investigators were told Caitlyn C. Strauser drowned in Grave Creek, but an autopsy performed by a state medical examiner determined the cause of death to be homicide.

The sheriff's office is asking for help from anyone who may have known Strauser or O'Dell or may know anything about the case.
