NEAR MURPHY, Ore. - An alligator that showed up along the Applegate River is causing concern about non-native species in the state of Oregon.
 
The three-and-a-half foot alligator was found sunning near Murphy on Saturday. The gator was not captured, and is believed to have gotten back into the water. There were no homes in the vicinity where he was found.
