CORVALLIS, Ore. - Corvallis, home of Oregon State University, has been ranked among the top ten college towns in the U.S.
 
The American Institute for the Economic Research has ranked Corvallis 7th.
 
When students come to the city of Corvallis for the first time and pop over the bridge, their first glance at this town can be a little shocking. However, and after settling in, it seems most students eventually come to appreciate the town that surrounds OSU.
 
Ithaca, New York, home of Cornell University and Ithaca College, was ranked the number one in the study that ranked schools based on academic environment, quality of life and professional opportunity.
