COQUILLE, Ore. -- The Douglas County District Attorney's office has filed a motion to dismiss sex abuse charges against former Coquille High School track coach Wendi Boutiette.
In explaining the decision, prosecutor Shannon Sullivan said the alleged victim is unwilling to testify. The trial had been scheduled to start next week.
Police arrested the coach in February after a citizen reported hearing that a boy on the track team had sex with the woman.
Boutiette told The Register-Guard newspaper Thursday that she is "happy, elated, relieved, angry and frustrated because my life has been dragged through hell for nine months."
