MEDFORD, Ore. - A fourteen-year-old is facing murder charges in the death of a 24-year-old in what police say was a gang related incident last month.

Police found Marco Diaz stabbed September 15th when they responded to a disturbance on Beatty Street in Medford.

Mauricio Humberto Teran was charged with numerous counts, including murder, manslaughter and assault. Police say the Teran is a gang member.

Former co-workers of Diaz says they never would have guessed he was involved in gang activity.

"A great guy, we never saw any of it here. No troubles, never threatened anyone or anything, he was the nicest guy I ever hired," said Mike Ziemer with the Yellow Submarine Car Wash.

Teran is currently being held at the Jackson County Juvenile Department. He is expected to appear in court next week.
