MEDFORD, Ore. - Drivers on Highway 62 will need to pay extra attention Thursday.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Medford Police Department Traffic Team, Eagle Point Police Department and Oregon State Police will conduct a saturation patrol on Crater Lake Highway from Medford to Eagle Point.

Law enforcement will focus on traffic violations with emphasis on failure to maintain safe distance from an emergency vehicle.

Drivers must slow down or change lanes when an emergency vehicle is stopped with warning lights on. In January 2010 the law will include highway workers and tow truck drivers.
