YACHATS, Ore. -- The Oregon State Police and Lincoln County medical examiner are trying to identify the partial remains of a body that washed ashore near Yachats.
 
State police Sgt. Justin McGladrey says someone walking on the beach noticed the remains Sunday afternoon and contacted authorities.
 
The remains were found a mile north of where another body was discovered December 3. That body was later identified as 62-year-old Bill Bodewig, one of two men who failed to return from a November fishing trip between Yachats and Heceta Head.
 
The second man, 23-year-old Nick Lutz of Florence, remains missing.
