MEDFORD, Ore. - Jackson County is reviewing potential designs for the renovation of its 715-acre Jackson County Sports Park.
On Tuesday, county commissioners looked at three sample layouts created by MIG, a Berkeley-based planning and design firm. The county wants the park to offer as many activities as possible with the fewest scheduling conflicts. The park currently includes a softball complex, drag strip, go-kart track and public shooting range.
MIG and the Jackson County Roads and Parks Department are taking public comment on the designs.
"We wanna hear from the public. We want the public to tell us 'are we on track, how close are we, are these the right alternatives?'," said John Vial, Director of Jackson County Roads and Parks.
Originally, the three options were going to be posted online for additional public comment, however the commissioners asked developers to hold off until they feel comfortable with a design.
