STEVENSON, Wash. -- An autopsy is scheduled for a Portland State University student found dead over the weekend after being missing for more than a week on a hike in the Columbia River Gorge.
Skamania County Undersheriff Dave Cox says a helicopter from the King County Sheriff's Office was able to land Sunday afternoon near where 24-year-old Kathrine Huether's body was found Saturday.
Huether, from Franklin Township, N.J., had been missing since March 4 after going hiking about four miles north of Bonneville Dam. Her body was found by hikers behind rocks at the base of an 800-foot cliff on Table Mountain.
