MEDFORD, Ore. - A foster care program aimed at connecting foster parents with biological parents is paying off in Southern Oregon.
The Jackson County Department of Human Services adopted the Partners in Parenting program a few years ago. It helps give birth parents a firsthand look at various parenting styles they might not know about.
DHS says the program emphasizes that children aren't forced to choose sides, which it says was an issue it previously saw quite a bit.
