JACKSONVILLE, Ore. - The city of Jacksonville has no exercise facilities, prompting a group of Jacksonville residents decided to take matters into their own hands.

The group Outdoor Odyssey began workouts Monday outside Bigham Knoll Field. The group says their classes are open to everyone.

"With people becoming more and more educated about wellness and knowing that they need to be out, and breathing, and getting their heart rate going, we see a nonstop freight train of more and more people getting involved in such activities," said Erik Weiser with Outdoor Odyssey.

The group has three different meeting times a day. It runs Monday through Thursday until mid-December. For more information visit www.outdoorodyssey.com.
