NEAR ASHLAND, Ore., -- The ski runs of Mt. Ashland may still be covered in snow, but that didn't stop nearly 400 mountain bikers from competing in the 2011 Ashland Mountain Challenge.

The race stretches over 12 miles of trails from the Mt. Ashland Ski Area to the city of Ashland, dropping nearly 5,000 vertical feet in the process.

The event draws in world class atheletes from around the county and puts riders and their equipment to the ultimate test.
