MEDFORD, Ore. -- The Holly Theatre is a step closer to being fully renovated.
The Medford Urban Renewal Agency gave Jefferson Public Radio, who bought the theatre, a $200,000 grant Thursday. The executive director says the money will help start the renovations inside the building, like asbestos removal and other health-safety related issues.
"We really look forward to the grand re-opening, I mean, the first thing people will see is the dedication of the facade in the spring, in April. It'll be a public event. I hope everybody will come out for it," says Executive Director Ron Kramer.
There are eight restaurants helping the project by donating a portion of their proceeds from certain items on their menu.
