MEDFORD, Ore. -- The latest fire investigation techniques are being taught to more than 60 people in Southern Oregon.
The International Association of Arson Investigators Conference is in our area, focusing on the specifics of spontaneous combustion, fire photography and fire behavior.
"Fire behavior is really important when we do fire investigations it's one of the things that we really look at- we have to consider that as we try to determine the origin of the fire," explained Medford Fire Department Fire Marshall Greg Kleinberg.
On Thursday, investigators learned about which cameras can best capture a scene and which settings to use. This is helpful when evidence is presented to a jury.
People came from out of state to attend the annual conference, which continues Friday.
