NEAR SELMA, Ore. -- Josephine County investigators are looking into a fatal car accident near Selma.
Police responded to the 9-1-1 call around 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
The 25-year-old caller said he and his father had spotted their mother's car overturned in a creek near their home. A short time later they discovered their mother's body floating in the water.
Sherif's detectives believe the mother, Renee Kieffer, drove home late Wednesday night after visiting friends and her car fell off the side of a narrow bridge.
Investigators say she was not wearing a seatbealt at time.
