For some, naturopathy may be key to allergy relief experts say

MEDFORD, Ore. -- With many people searching for relief from allergy symptoms, getting the sniffling and sneezing to disappear may not necessarily come in the form of a pill.

Many naturopaths say the cure for common allergies has little to do with medicine and more to do with what you eat.

One Southern Oregon doctor says Americans are eating too many foods that break down your immune system.
Some of the biggest culprits include apples, bananas, oranges, corn, gluten, and dairy products.

"Most people don't believe it initially. Some foods, just because you stop eating them it isn't enough. You have to stop for six weeks before you notice a response," says Naturopathic Physician Dr. Dan Smith.
