Memorial held for Bend Navy Seal killed in helicopter crash

REDMOND, Ore. - A memorial service was held Friday for an Oregon Navy Seal who was killed in a helicopter crash off the coast of San Diego in May.
 
Family and friends remembered 25-year-old Aaron Clingman at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds.
 
Clingman was born in Ashland, but grew up in Bend, attended Bend High School, and graduated from Marshall High School in 2004. He leaves behind a daughter Ayden and his wife Ashley, who is pregnant with Clingman's second child.
 
Clingman was one of 5 men killed when the Navy helicopter crashed May 9th. The helicopter was on a search-and-rescue training flight from the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier.
