DEXTER, Iowa. - An unusual friendship has developed between two pets in Iowa.

Sterling the Duck and Cleo the Dog are the best of friends according to their owner.

"They sleep together actually. They'll lay down next to each other. They go everywhere together. He'll follow her down the road and play with her, and they both like to clean each other," Owner Tiffany Smith said.

Sterling even likes to eat dog food. He is a heavyweight domesticated duck that cannot fly. He became attached to his furry friend after his partner passed away. Cleo is a 7-year-old lab mix and seems to enjoy his fine-feathered companion.
