This week's question is being split into parts since the answers got pretty long (especially by a certain movie reviewer...). Here is the first round. Enjoy!

"What is your favorite scary movie?"

------------------------------------------

Milt Radford: "Rear Window" is not just my favorite scary movie but my all-time favorite film because it brings together three of the best ever, Alfred Hitchcock, Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly. Mamma Mia! finished a close second on my list but that's a different kind of horror.

Erin Maxson: "It." I was in 4th grade at a birthday slumber party. We were so convinced the clown would come out of the pipes that we would go to the bathroom in pairs... It was awful! I still get nervous near street gutters...

Ashley Hall: I'm too wimpy for scary movies. Even watching "Psyco" with my husband last night for the 5th time, I could hardly stand the suspense! Give me a good mental thriller, like "Sixth Sense".

Faris Tanyos (web producer): (Editor's Note: We should have known that this was coming from Faris...). I couldn't pick just one, so let's go with 4, 'cause that's how I roll:

- "The Exorcist". Hands down the greatest horror movie ever made. Its ideas lingered with me for a long, long time afterwards, and not in a good way.
- "Rosemary's Baby": Nothing is shown, everything's implied, but the implications are deadly.
- "The English Patient" showed me for the first time the face of true love, and it terrified me. But Buster from "Arrested Development" put it best when he said, "love should be terrifying".
- "National Treasure 2": A more appropriate title, "National Trash 2". If this rubbish is any indication of Hollywood's future, we should all be horrified.

Ron Brown: I can't think of any. I usually avoid them. However, I did see "The Birds" and think that's the most likely candidate.

Round 2 to come...

Scary Movies

I have to agree with Ron- "The Birds" too me is the scariest movie especially after you watch it in the 9th grade and then come out of class and there's all these crows just sitting on the roofs and and just gathered around the school campus.
