Helicopter training school to open in Medford

MEDFORD, Ore. - A passion for flying helicopters is turning into a business for one Southern Oregon man.
 
Clay Clark has been flying for 10 years, and he will celebrate his new business, Table Rock Helicopters, with an open house this weekend. The company will be the first south of Portland to offer flight training services.
 
Clark partnered with Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development Inc. and other local agencies to get his new business off the ground.
 
"Not only are you going to learn how to fly a helicopter, but you're going to learn about aerodynamics, you're going to learn about the physics of helicopter flight. You're gonna learn about weather navigation and FRAs, which are the Federal Aviation Regulations," Clay Clark with Table Rock Helicopters.
 
The open house is this Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Medford Air Service off Biddle Road.
