DUNSMUIR, Calif. - Authorities say a 13-year-old girl is safe Tuesday after being taken into a van, where her mouth and hands were bound with duct tape.

Police have an 18-year-old Dunsmuir man in custody. They say the man is in the Siskiyou County Jail accused of false imprisonment with violence and sexual battery. Jonathon Sadowski is also accused of trying to sexually assault the girl.

The victim says that eventually Sadowski cut the tape, told her not to tell anyone and let her go. Her mother called the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office.
