PROSPECT, Ore. - Seniors and people living with disabilities may soon have to pay more at certain campgrounds in Southern Oregon.

The U.S. Forest Service is proposing to reduce the discount for seniors and the disabled on its concession run campgrounds. The 50 percent discount would be reduced to 10 percent at those sites. Those include campgrounds like Fish Lake in Butte Falls and Union Creek in Prospect.

Many of the campgrounds are closed for the winter and were unable to comment on the proposal. There is a public comment period through February 1st.
