MEDFORD, Ore. - Two nearly 100-year-old elementary schools opened their doors to students Thursday after completing major remodeling projects.

Teachers at Jackson and Roosevelt Elementary schools led parents and students on their first full look of the new school.

There is still some work to be done, however. Media centers, gyms and landscaping are the major projects yet to be finished before the schools are ready for their grand unveiling.

The renovations are being funded by bond money.
