    Hunting season is right around the corner, and this weekend youth from across our region are getting the chance to perfect their aim and hunt some pheasants. This is all part of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife's annual youth pheasant hunt. It is one of the largest in Oregon.

    Scoggins Creek Fire 200-350 Acres

    State forestry officials say the Scoggins Creek Fire, located 2 miles northwest of Hagg Lake, is burning in extremely dry brush and trees. Oregon Department of Forestry reports the fire grew to nearly 400 acres overnight and is currently 0% contained.
