MEDFORD, Ore. - More than one-quarter of all flights taking off and landing at the Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport were delayed in January, according to a U.S. Department of Transportation report released this week.

The Air Travel Consumer Report found 68.4 percent of flights arriving at the Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport were on time, and 74-percent of all departing flights were on schedule. Officials say the majority of delays were caused by delays at other airports, particularly in San Francisco. Officials say fog delays during the winter months are also a large factor.

So far this year, the Medford Airport has seen 12 percent more travel than the same period in 2009.

Meanwhile, Klamath Falls Airport saw over 68 percent of arrivals on schedule, and 59 percent of departures. The Portland International Airport saw over 85 percent of arrivals on time and 88 percent of departures.
