MEDFORD, Ore. -- In the past six months more businesses have been popping up in downtown Medford filling up the vacant store fronts on Main Street.
Vacant storefronts are turning into new, local shops and some businesses think now is the time to invest in downtown Medford.
If you drive down Main Street in Medford, it's hard to miss the "open" signs.
In the past six months storefronts have filled up, with some shops like Deja Nu even moving locations so they can get a spot on Main Street.
Glory days antiques says people notice their location, which many still think of as the Old Hubbard Ace Hardware. Some people we spoke with agree that businesses are booming and they just hope it lasts.
Something business owners hope for as well.
Check out a downtown that will also add a bridal shop and a men's consignment store by the end of the year.
Heart of Medford says construction on the Sparta building on Riverside should be completed at the end of the month.
The building is being built as a restaurant space, though currently they have no tenant.
