GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Just outside the Josephine County Courthouse where Walden and DeFazio met county officials, nearly fifty people were protesting those lawmakers.
Members of Occupy Grants Pass chanted right outside the press conference on Thursday and approached Congressman Walden as he exited the courthouse.
They say they do not want corporations being treated as people and being able to donated thousands of dollars to candidates. They say big businesses pay for votes.
The protesters say the corporations are pushing for conditions that create poverty for the lower and middle classes.
