    The Rogue Valley was mostly spared from power outages, but 25,000 homes lost power throughout Northern California and all of Oregon. Meanwhile the Douglas County Sheriff's Office actually lost their 9-1-1 lines in the northern parts of the county.

    New York City’s health commissioner has confirmed that Dr. Craig Spencer has tested positive for Ebola. Spencer recently spent time in West Africa, considered Ground Zero for the Ebola outbreak. The 33-year-old was recently treating patients in Guinea.

    Austin Dodge had an Austin Dodge-like performance in his first and only appearance at College of Idaho. Dodge finished 23-29 with 443 yards and four touchdowns in a 66-16 pasting of the Coyotes. SOU remains tied with Carroll College for 1st place in the Frontier Conference.
