21-year-old Robert Johnson, who friends call Robby, died in Iraq from non-combat causes. Neighbors say it was his second tour to Iraq and he was supposed to come home soon. Friends and neighbors say Robby was a good kid with a big heart.

Friends say he was proud to serve his country. He was a son, brother, husband and friend to many.  He spent many years in Central Point and graduated from crater high school. While in school, he worked at Albertson's where co-workers say he had a great attitude and was promoted from courtesy to the butcher block.

Neighbors say Johnson's family is in California where he will be buried. His dad brad still lives in Central Point and goes to table rock fellowship every Sunday. Friends say there will be a service there when they come back but no date has been set.
